This super cool dad sent his son’s favorite toy, Stanley the Train, into space. He used a weather balloon with a HD camera and an old cell phone for GPS. They recovered the toy 27 miles away in a corn field. Oh, and if you’re wondering, the effects on the train’s face (the smiley faces) are edited using After Effects and Photoshop.
The video with the train’s journey into space is pretty neat.
