Extreme engineering: The Tibetan Bridge in Claviere, Piedmont, Italy (3 pictures + video)

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush and are the hiking sort, you might want to check out the Tibetan Bridge between Sestriere and Bardonecchia in Italy. It’s one of the highest wooden bridges in the world, at 30 metres above the torrents below, and the longest Tibetan bridge in the world.

The bridge crosses the San Gervasio gorge and is 468 metres. Equipment for the crossing includes climbing harness to attach yourself to the bridge and helmet.
