Floppy disk table

December 5, 2012

What’s really cool about this table is not only its design, but the fact that it has a secret compartment built-in under the metal slidey part for storing remotes or coasters.

Remember the pro gay marriage ad we posted a couple of days ago, the one with the gay dudes threatening to marry everyone else’s girlfriends? Well, here’s part two, which personally I find awesome. Who wouldn’t want a girlfriend like these gals?

The Voyager 1 space probe (launched by NASA in 1977 to study the outer Solar System and interstellar medium) has reached a new region at the edge of the solar system called the “magnetic highway”, a previously unknown region of the heliosphere.

Scientists think this is the final region before the space probe enters interstellar space (the space between solar systems). Voyager 1 will then become the first man-made object to exit our solar system.

Voyager project scientist Edward Stone:

“Our best guess is it’s likely just a few months to a couple years away. The new region isn’t what we expected, but we’ve come to expect the unexpected from Voyager.”

Voyager 1 is predicted to enter interstellar sometime between 2012 – 2015.
